Dr Olushola Adeborode, Kolawole

President

Dr Olushola Adeborode, Kolawole is simply an exceptional leader. An entrepreneur and a lover of God per excellence. He studied Economics at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye and later proceeded to Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK where he bagged a master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Bradford. He is a member of local and international professional bodies, which includes Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (USA), Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK among others.

Olushola is an award winner both at the state and national level which was bestowed upon him by the then Zamfara state Governor, Alhaji Mamuda Shinkafi, and the Nigerian President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, (GCOFR), for his selfless service to his fatherland.

Olushola became the President of the Nigerian Community Association in Bradford on the 13th November 2021. He is committed to bringing innovative ideas to promote the association within and outside Bradford.

Dr. Olushola, is currently a Lecturer at Teesside University and a visiting lecturer at Royal Holloway University, London; Buckingham University, London; and University of Bradford, UK. He is also a BOT member to several organisations in Nigeria and abroad.

Dr Yakubu Mandafiya John

Dr Yakubu Mandafiya John is an inspirational leader. He is an Associate Member of the IChemE and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom. Dr John is a Registered Engineer with COREN.

I, (Kikemono Erinle) am currently the Welfare Officer of the Nigerian Community Association Bradford (NCAB). I was elected into the post in November 2021 at the Annual General Meeting. Before my election to the welfare post, I was the President from March 2018 till November 2021. It is a great privilege to be part of this great community of well-learned Nigerians in Bradford. I, (Kikelomo Erinle) am currently the Welfare Officer of the Nigerian Community Association Bradford (NCAB). I was elected into the post in November 2021 at the Annual General Meeting. Before my election to the welfare post, I was the President from March 2018 till November 2021. It is a great privilege to be part of this great community of well-learned Nigerians in Bradford. I have been a member from the onset of the community when it was inaugurated in 1991 in my house. I have served in various roles and under various great Presidents and Vice Presidents.

Our aim and objective are for Building Community Cohesion through education and learning of various ethnic diversity, cultures and empowerment. Nigeria is a very diverse country, and this rich diversity is at the forefront of what we do here in Bradford.

We have a team of well-dedicated executives working together and making practical and workable contributions for our community. “There is power in working together and united we stand but divided we fall.” The benefit of working together for our community means that our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would be the beneficiaries.

I am a social worker by profession, and a Christian theologian, working in various communities is very rewarding and fulfilling.

He is popularly known as Abu. Abu has lived in the city of Bradford for over 10 years, and he is married with 4 children. Abu is a graduate of Accountancy, and he holds an MSc degree in Corporate Finance. He currently works as a Management Accountant with one of England’s specialist housing providers for older adults…

He is popularly known as Abu. Abu has lived in the city of Bradford for over 10 years, and he is married with 4 children. Abu is a graduate of Accountancy, and he holds an MSc degree in Corporate Finance. He currently works as a Management Accountant with one of England’s specialist housing providers for older adults.

Abu’s passion for community cohesion led him to join NCAB. The community’s objectives include providing an environment where Nigerians can work together to enhance economic, spiritual and social development matches his values and beliefs. He has experience with various UK-Based Nigerian charities, volunteering in multiple capacities ranging from administration to financial secretary.

Some of the charitable work Abu has been involved in include sponsoring orphan’s education in Nigeria, construction of boreholes in rural areas, disaster relief and recently, he was instrumental in setting up an online Islamic school to educate the children of Nigerian’s living in the UK.

Osakwe Nonyelum Esther, popularly known as ONE, is a 35-year-old mother of three who wants to make a difference in Bradford and beyond.

Originally from Nigeria, Esther lived in Colchester and Milton Keynes before making Bradford her home 6 years ago.

She is a part-time customer care agent and a trainee dance movement psychotherapist at the University of Derby.

Esther volunteers in several local and international organisations supporting change and improving quality of life globally.

Ajiroghene Ayokunle has over 13 years’ banking experience and has serially volunteered in various çapacities towards actualising the Sustainable Development Goals across Africa for two decades.

She recently redirected her career path and relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, with passion to partner further interventions in mental health illnesses…

Moshood has recently transitioned into the field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. His newfound love in the tech space prompted him to embark on another Master’s degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics at the University of Bradford.

Moshood is passionate about mentoring younger individuals and has been a part of various mentorship programs. He is currently a Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leader at the University of Bradford, a mentor at the Data Science Network and The Akinfalabs Foundation. His passion for mentoring and supporting young individuals through their academics and career is his primary reason for joining NCAB. He hopes to make a mark in the Nigerian community Bradford.

Oluwadamilola Koya

Oluwadamilola Koya is a bilingual marketing specialist who has worked in key account management, sales and marketing, project management, events, and health & safety. He has worked in the hospitality sector for the last 11 years. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in Digital & Strategic Marketing at the University of Bradford, where he also serves as President of the Nigerian Students Society. He is enthusiastic about technology, gadgets, hiking, cycling, and languages.
